Lead Teacher

A Lead Teacher is passionate about enriching the minds of young children and perceptive to their needs and emotions.

Requirements:

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A Lead Teacher is responsible for:

  • Maintaining a safe and constructive learning environment
  • Creating and implementing developmentally-appropriate lesson plans
  • Assessing children’s needs and development
  • Using positive classroom behavior management
  • Following Michigan Child Care Licensing Regulations
  • Supervising teacher assistants and volunteers In the classroom
  • Having open, positive communication with the director, staff, families and the community

Salary:  Based on education and experience
Job Type:  Full-time

Assistant Teachers

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential preferred
  • Love working with children 12 months to 12 years
  • Able to work varied shifts
  • Pass TB test, fingerprinting, and background check
  • Have, or willing to obtain, CPR training

Salary:  Based on education and experience
Job Type:  Full-time or part-time

After School Assistant Teachers

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Exhibit sincere interest in working with children, e.g. babysitting, high school classes in child development
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential preferred, but not required
  • Pass TB test, fingerprinting, and background check
  • Have, or willing to obtain, CPR training

Salary:  Based on education and experience
